2025 JunEven though people with obesity have trouble using insulin, their bodies still respond to exercise the same way as people without obesity when it comes to the active form of IGF-1 — it doesn’t go up or down during a workout. So, insulin resistance doesn’t seem to affect how IGF-1 reacts to exercise.
