See the scientific wording

Following an 8-hour time-restricted eating schedule increases the risk of death from cardiovascular disease.

Why this might work

Eating only during an 8-hour window causes the body to burn fat for energy overnight, which lowers fat levels in the blood. This changes the shape and composition of cholesterol-carrying particles, making harmful small LDL particles decrease and protective large HDL particles increase. At the same time, the body produces ketones that calm down white blood cells called neutrophils, reducing their ability to stick to artery walls and trigger inflammation. Together, these changes make artery plaques more stable and less likely to rupture and cause heart attacks.
