Why this might work

When blood bicarbonate drops below normal levels, the body pulls alkaline minerals from bones and breaks down muscle to neutralize excess acid. This weakens bones and muscles. At the same time, muscle cells struggle to make energy because their power plants (mitochondria) stop working well, forcing cells to use a less efficient method that produces more acid.
