Why this might work

Turmeric's curcumin gets into immune cells and turns off the master switch that produces inflammation. With the switch off, cells release less of the chemical messengers TNF, IL-6, and IL-1β. Because IL-6 tells the liver to make C-reactive protein, the liver makes less of it too. So the levels of all four inflammatory markers in the blood go down, meaning less inflammation.
