Cross-Sectional Study
Human
1986The study had athletes do super hard weightlifting until they couldn’t do another rep, then measured the lactic acid in their muscles — and it was exactly 17.3 mmol/kg, just like the claim said. This means their muscles were working super hard without oxygen, which is what the claim was describing.
