Why this might work

Excess belly fat in women releases inflammatory chemicals and raises blood pressure and blood sugar, which damage small blood vessels in the brain. These damaged vessels leak and cause swelling and scarring in white matter, which over time starves nearby gray matter cells of oxygen and nutrients. In women, the loss of estrogen after menopause makes this damage worse because estrogen normally protects blood vessels and calms brain inflammation. This process specifically harms the area behind the forehead that controls decisions and emotions, causing it to shrink only in women.
