Study

Downregulation of the α1- and β1-subunit of sGC in Arterial Smooth Muscle Cells of OPSCC Is HPV-Independent

This study investigates whether soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGCα1β1) expression is reduced in arterial smooth muscle cells near oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) tumors and whether this reduction is influenced by HPV status.

Study

High force development augments skeletal muscle signalling in resistance exercise modes equalized for time under tension

This study investigated how force development versus time under tension (TUT) during resistance exercise (RE) affects anabolic signaling in skeletal muscle. It tested the hypothesis that high force development during RE produces greater acute anabolic signaling than submaximal or fatiguing RE protocols when matched for total TUT.
