Serum Selenium Status in Egyptians Patients who had Graves’ Disease with and without Ophthalmopathy
This study looked at people who already had eye problems from Graves' disease and compared their selenium levels to people with the same disease but no eye problems. It found that those with worse eye problems tended to have less selenium — but it doesn't prove that low selenium caused the eye problems. It just shows they often go together.
