Effects of combined aerobic and resistance training on the glycolipid metabolism and inflammation levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus
This study showed that when people with type 2 diabetes did regular exercise for 12 weeks, their blood sugar and some body chemicals improved. But it doesn't prove exercise is the only reason — maybe other things helped too. So we can say exercise probably helped, but we can't say for sure it was the only cause.
