Muscle hypertrophy and strength improvements following blood flow restriction combined with resistance training in team-athletes: a systematic review and meta-analysis
This study looked at lots of different experiments where athletes did weight training with and without special bands that squeeze their arms or legs. It found that the bands helped muscles get a little bigger and stronger, but didn’t help them jump higher or run faster. So we can say the bands probably help with muscle growth, but not with speed or power.
