Magnesium and B vitamins work together to break down homocysteine, which reduces damage to blood vessels and improves how the body uses insulin. This lets muscles take in more sugar from the blood, lowering blood sugar levels. Magnesium also helps the liver remove cholesterol from the blood by packaging it into HDL particles for disposal. Vitamin K2 prevents calcium from building up in artery walls, which stops bad cholesterol from getting trapped and oxidized, making it easier for the liver to clear it from the blood.
