Vitamin K2 activates a protein that prevents calcium from building up in artery walls, which reduces damage to LDL particles and helps the liver remove them from the blood. Magnesium increases the activity of a transporter that pulls cholesterol out of artery walls and delivers it to the liver for disposal, lowering LDL levels without affecting good cholesterol.
