Why this might work

When glycine levels rise, it enters immune cells in the lungs and liver and opens special channels that let chloride ions flow in. This makes the inside of the cells more electrically negative, which stops the cells from becoming activated and releasing inflammatory signals. Less inflammation in the lungs reduces the growth of cancer tumors, which allows mice to live longer. Aspirin, inulin, and TM5441 do not trigger this same process, so they do not extend lifespan.
