there is already a ton of peer reviewed and vetted science about the health benefits of full fat versus low-fat or skim dairy products. We don't really need RFK Junior to tell us anything about anything. He is an insane crank and could easily be ignored with no loss to anyone.

One trial: full-fat yogurt cut ApoB. Another: skim milk drinkers outlived whole milk drinkers. Go figure. https://s.fitbodyscience.com/74wNn9

The breakdown

The science on full-fat dairy isn't as clear-cut as the post suggests.

Some research does point to benefits of full-fat dairy. For instance, one study found that full-fat yogurt lowered a marker of bad fats compared to low-fat yogurt with butter. But other research complicates the picture: a study on milk drinkers found that those who drank low-fat or skim milk had a lower risk of death than whole milk drinkers, and a separate trial found no difference in heart health markers between full-fat and low-fat dairy diets. So while there's some support, there's also evidence that contradicts the idea that full-fat is better.

Bottom line

So the claim that science already backs full-fat dairy isn't totally true — the research is genuinely split, and it's not a settled question.
