Cannabis oil reduced pain and improved sleep in fibromyalgia patients — but only in one small study; another found no benefit over placebo at all. https://fitbodyscience.com/post/bluesky/normlorg.bsky.social/post-3mo42nia?utm_source=social_reply&utm_medium=bluesky&utm_campaign=autopost
There's disagreement
Studies point in different directions — there's no clear consensus yet.
Cannabis oil might help fibromyalgia pain and sleep, but the evidence isn’t as clear-cut as it seems.
One small study found that people using cannabis oil did report less pain and better sleep compared to those using a placebo, and most didn’t have serious side effects—but it didn’t show any real benefit for anxiety or depression. Meanwhile, another study found no clear advantage over a placebo for pain or sleep at all. So while some people do report feeling better, the results aren’t consistent across research, and the emotional benefits mentioned in the post aren’t supported by the data we have.
If you have fibromyalgia and are curious about cannabis oil, some people find relief—but don’t assume it’ll fix everything, especially anxiety or depression.
