This study looked at people who already had heart problems and saw that those who got their cholesterol down quickly tended to have fewer heart issues later. But it didn’t make anyone change their cholesterol — it just watched what happened. So we can’t say lowering cholesterol caused the improvement — maybe those people were just healthier in other ways.
