This study is like following a group of kids to see who gets taller. It shows that certain things (like eating a lot) might go along with growing taller, but it can't prove that eating a lot makes you taller. Similarly, this study follows people with memory issues and sees that some markers (brain size, brain waves, drawing tests) often show up in people who get worse, but it doesn't prove those markers cause the decline.
